BREAKING: Steve Bannon Fired As White House’s Chief Strategist

Fri, 2017-08-18 17:11

By Amanda Froelich Truth Theory

It’s official: Steve Bannon has joined the growing list of employees fired by the White House under the Trump administration. On Friday, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders confirmed that Bannon exited his position of White House Chief Strategist. “White House Chief of Staff John Kelly and Steve Bannon have mutually agreed today would be Steve’s last day,” said Sanders in a statement. “We are grateful for his service and wish him the best.”

Bannon is a right-wing nationalist and former head of Breitbart.com. BBC reports that he played an integral role in shaping the “America First” message of President Trump’s election campaign. However, Bannon’s habit of taking credit and competing for influence in the West Wing against more moderate factions — including members of the Trump family, is what ultimately resulted in his termination. For instance, after Bannon was quoted in an interview with the American Prospect contradicting President Trump on North Korea and asserting that he, himself was able to make personnel changes at the State Department, Trump was reportedly furious.

According to sources, Bannon was actually fired two weeks ago and was given the option to resign, but eventually was forced out. The timing is certainly auspicious, considering critics of Bannon’s demanded so-called nationalists working in the West Wing be fired after a white supremacy protest took place in Charlottesville, Virginia (resulting in one death). Reportedly, the group of hard-right populists in the White House is led by Mr. Bannon. With his termination, this means one of the White House’s most controversial staffers (perceived by many to be the driving force behind Trump’s “nationalist” ideology) will no longer be at the center of the Trump universe.

Bannon’s time in the White House was marked with controversy, and that he frequently butted heads with other key players — including senior adviser Jared Kushner, chief economic adviser Gary Cohn and other moderate members of the President’s administratio. “Steve was never a team player,” a senior administration official told the press when explaining that Bannon had a reputation of “bad mouthing” others to reporters.

During his stint with the Trump administration, Bannon pushed a hardline trade agenda — specifically attempting to rebalance the trade relationship between the US and China. CNN reports, “The fiery chief strategist also led the charge against proposals by national security officials to deepen US military involvement in Afghanistan, feuding vocally during meetings of the National Security Council with national security adviser H.R. McMaster and working behind the scenes to water down hawkish proposals for troop increases and a longer-term US military commitment.”

Never Forget: The Nukes N. Korea Is Threatening To Use On America CAME FROM AMERICA

Fri, 2017-08-18 13:55

By Matt Agorist via The Free Thought Project

As the US beats the war drums to attack North Korea, most Americans have no idea the US is responsible for the dictatorship’s nuclear arsenal.

For more than a decade, North Korea has been unsuccessfully attempting to prove its military might to the world through a series of failed missile launches, nuclear proliferation, and threats to anyone who attempts to come near their border. And for more than half a century, the US has enabled and funded it. If North Korea does ever launch a nuke, it will be because the US government and its assets helped to put it in their hands.

In spite of threatening nuclear war on the world, however, most countries have never acted on their threats. However, the Trump administration appears to want to change that.

“North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States,” Trump said at an event at his Bedminster, N.J., golf club on Tuesday. “They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen.” The president then repeated that North Korea “will be met with the fire and fury and, frankly, power, the likes of which this world has never seen before” if it continued with this behavior.

Almost immediately after Trump drew this proverbial line in the sand, North Korea crossed it. The insane dictatorship that is Kim Jong-un’s regime, said late on Tuesday that it may strike Guam.

Just hours before Trump threatened fire and fury, one of his top advisors, Sevastian Gorka, downplayed the North Korean threat calling it “blackmail.”

“This is blatant blackmail,” he said. “Blackmail of the western community. We don’t give in to blackmail.” He added that North Korean tough talk was mostly “bluster.”

“We would like people to understand, this is a Lilliputian flea,” Gorka argued. “North Korea is a Stalinist regime, but it can’t even feed its own people.”

In fact, the only thing that makes North Korea a threat is their nuclear capability — made possible by the Clinton and Bush administrations.

These two administrations played key roles in helping the late Kim Jong-Il develop North Korea’s nuclear prowess from the mid 1990’s onward.

Former US Secretary of Defense, Donald Rumsfeld was on the board of technology giant ABB when it won a deal to supply North Korea with two nuclear power plants.

According to the 2003 report from SWI, the Swiss-based ABB told swissinfo that Rumsfeld was involved with the company in early 2000, when it netted a $200 million (SFr270million) contract with Pyongyang.

The ABB contract was to deliver equipment and services for two nuclear power stations at Kumho, on North Korea’s east coast.

However, Rumsfeld was simply taking the baton from the Clinton administration, who, in 1994, agreed to begin replacing North Korea’s domestically built nuclear reactors with light water reactors.

Henry Sokolski, head of the Non-proliferation Policy Education Center in Washington, noted at the time that “LWRs could be used to produce dozens of bombs’ worth of weapons-grade plutonium in both North Korea and Iran. This is true of all LWRs — a depressing fact U.S. policymakers have managed to block out.”

“These reactors are like all reactors, they have the potential to make weapons. So you might end up supplying the worst nuclear violator with the means to acquire the very weapons we’re trying to prevent it acquiring,” said Sokolski.

American taxpayers then financed the construction of these nuclear reactors — to the tune of $95 million — which were used to build weapons to threaten their very lives. Despite Korea being caught building the nukes with US taxpayer funds, Bush upped his ante in 2003 and sent even more money to the dictatorship.

Although this program was supposedly halted years later, the CIA stepped in to help North Korea continue making nukes.

In 2004, Dr. Abdul Qadeer Khan — CIA asset and international arms smuggler — and the father of Pakistan’s atom bomb program, admitted sharing nuclear technology via a worldwide smuggling network that included facilities in Malaysia which manufactured key parts for centrifuges.

Khan’s collaborator B.S.A. Tahir ran a front company out of Dubai that shipped centrifuge components to North Korea.

As Truth-Out reported at the time:

Ruud Lubbers, a former Dutch prime minister, revealed in August 2005 that the Netherlands (where Khan started his nuclear career) was prepared to arrest him 30 years before. The authorities came close to arresting Khan twice, first in 1975 and later in 1986, but the CIA requested that they let him act freely.

Lubbers said that, while he was prime minister in 1983, Dutch authorities could have reopened the case. Once again, they did not do so because of US pressure. “The man was followed for almost ten years and obviously he was a serious problem. But again I was told that the secret services could handle it more effectively,” Lubbers said. “The Hague did not have the final say in the matter. Washington did.”

As we are learning now, Sokolski’s prophecy came true and a psychotic dictator has a small nuclear arsenal at his disposal. And, it is all thanks to the US government, the CIA, and your tax dollars.

As the US beats the war drums to attack North Korea, wouldn’t most Americans like to know where North Korea’s threat comes from? Please share this article to show your friends and family how idiotic American foreign policy is.

DeLorean Aerospace Is Working On A Flying Car With A Range of 120 Miles

Fri, 2017-08-18 13:47

By Patrick Caughill via Futurism

Paul DeLorean, nephew of the maker of the iconic car from the Back to the Future series, is developing a flying car through his company DeLorean Aerospace. The EV would boast one of the longest ranges of any proposed VTOL vehicle: 120 miles on a single charge.

Paging Doc Brown

DeLorean cars have become a staple of ’80s pop culture thanks to their starring role in Robert Zemeckis’s iconic Back to the Future trilogy. Now, a new generation of the DeLorean family is looking to put the brand back into the spotlight by giving new meaning to a line kooky inventor Doc Brown delivers at the end of the first film: “Where we’re going, we don’t need roads.”

In a recent Wired profile, Paul DeLorean, nephew of the original carmaker and current CEO and chief designer of DeLorean Aerospace, revealed that his company is joining the likes of Uber, Airbus, Kitty Hawk, and a few others in attempting to build a flying car.

DeLorean says the company is working on a two-seat, vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) vehicle meant for personal transport and that will eventually be capable of autonomous flight. “We are moving forward on a full-size, piloted prototype which will carry two passengers and is designed to operate, fully electric, for a range of  [193 kilometers (120 miles)],” he explained to Wired.

Other flying cars in development are only expected to have ranges of around 40 to 80 kilometers (25 to 50 miles), so DeLorean’s target is well above the norm.

As for design specifics, the DeLorean DR-7 aircraft sports two sets of wings, one at the vehicle’s front and the other at its back, with another pair of winglets under the hind wings. The vehicle’s takeoff and forward propulsion rely on a pair of fans, which are powered by electricity and mounted along its center. The fans swivel after takeoff to push the vehicle forward.

In all, the aircraft is about 6 meters (20 feet) long, with a wingspan of about 5.6 meters (18.5 feet). To help the aircraft fit into a (large) garage, the wings are capable of folding against the vehicle’s sides.

Regulating the Skies

Whether they be of the self-driving or flying variety, the cars of the future need to surmount regulatory hurdles before we’ll see any kind of widespread adoption. The use of traditional vehicles and aircraft is currently regulated by numerous laws, and the advanced capabilities of autonomous or flying vehicles are presenting lawmakers with a slew of unprecedented questions.

Along with the need to upgrade our laws to govern this next step in the evolution of personal transport, we also need to upgrade our infrastructure. Electricity is emerging as the energy source of choice for this next generation of vehicles, yet much of the world lacks the infrastructure necessary to meet the refueling needs of a fleet of electric vehicles (EVs).

We still have some time to wait before we can hope to see these flying vehicles in action, as experts don’t expect the first models to be ready for another five to 15 years, but we are well on our way to a future in which roads won’t be the only places we see cars.

Train Announcement Discouraging People To Feed The Homeless Shows How Low Society Has Sunk

Fri, 2017-08-18 09:44

BLuke Miller Truth Theory

Yesterday I jumped on a train going in the wrong direction, it was a little annoying as I was in a rush, but ended up revealing something to me I would not have otherwise seen. As I jumped off the train at Aldergate East station which is based in London, an eerie female voice announced “Begging in this station is illegal, customers are reminded not to encourage this behaviour”

This is an actual announcement made in a train station in what is supposed to be a democratic society. What has this place become, when vulnerable people are looked at as less than human. It’s has become big brother, with this loud voice reminding us not to do the right thing.

What ever happened to compassion and loving. Some people mess up in life or get abused or get lost on the road or get abandoned at a young age. Some people have everything and fall victim to a scam which puts them out on the street. Some people become sick, which stops them from being able to work or even worse in the states it’s the health care costs that put the people out on the streets.

The only difference between any of us is our circumstances, which have lead us to where we are now.

How about you just give the poor person some change or food and go on with your day, or even better talk to them and realise they are human. At the very least should we not have the right to decide if we want to give a person change, food or a hug!

Yes they could be a drug addict and anything you give them could go towards this and of course “some” people in this position could do better. But would you switch with them? The justification I hear from some people to avoid doing the right thing is laughable. Like the people begging are privileged.

This lead to the point- why does this situation exists in the first place? Property is inherited and hoarded by a very small group of extremely wealthy individuals who create the artificial construct that is rich and poor. Maybe we could do one better than giving a person change, maybe we could stop the monarchy and other wealthy parasitic beings hoarding all the assets and resources. Maybe we could create a fair society? Has any political leader in the UK or US even tried?

This is not meant to be a guilt trip, but maybe some of us can look at our situation and realise how privileged we are to have a choice to gift something should we feel too. Maybe next time we see someone, we could ask them their name and see that behind their flaws they are actually a human being.

Don’t be brainwashed by announcements like this! We should never tolerate this if we want equality. If you see someone in need do the right thing!

Pregnant Lion Saved From Syrian Zoo Gives Birth Just Hours After Rescue

Thu, 2017-08-17 11:57

By Amanda Froelich Truth Theory

Earlier this week, activists with the animal charity and rescue organization Four Paws helped rescue five lions from a zoo in Aleppo. The city has been a battlefield for the Syrian civil war, and the big cats are considered lucky to even be alive. The most notable news concerning the lions’ rescue, however, is that one lioness gave birth to a cub just hours after being rescued from the city.

According to GoodNewsNetwork, a lioness named Dana was close to giving birth in a war zone. Fortunately, she was transported to the Al Ma’wa for Nature and Wildlife sanctuary in northern Jordan just in time. Just hours after landing, the anticipated event began.

Reportedly, caretakers were concerned about whether or not she would keep the cub. Wrote the Four Paws UK Facebook page: “Our team on site was very concerned about whether the lioness would accept the cub or kill it, as this is what lions sometimes do when they are under enormous stress. But luckily that wasn’t the case. She cleaned the cub and nursed it. This is a true sign that she feels safe at Al Ma’wa.”

Since a previous ultrasound revealed that Dana is pregnant with two cubs, wildlife specialists are eagerly awaiting the birth of the second lion. The gender of the first remains unknown.

This Is Why You Will NEVER See A Great White Shark In An Aquarium

Thu, 2017-08-17 11:43

By Amanda Froelich Truth Theory

Great white sharks are without a doubt one of the fiercest creatures in the ocean. It is exactly because of this that so many desire to view them when visiting an aquarium. However, there are no great white sharks presently in captivity, and that’s because aquariums are rarely able to keep the predators alive for more than 16 days. Though the exact reason is still unknown, there are a few theories as to why.

The last attempt to put a great white shark in captivity didn’t end well. Just three days into the shark’s stay at the Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium, it died. Sadly, this story mirrors dozens of other attempts.

As IFLScience reports, the first known attempt to put a great white shark in captivity was by Marineland of the Pacific, a California oceanarium and tourist attraction, in the 1950’s. That shark survived less than a day. Of course, SeaWorld tried to care for the beasts, as well. All resulted in the sharks dying or being released back to the wild within a couple of weeks. The Monterey Bay Aquarium is the only establishment to have kept a great white shark alive more than 16 days. The sharks it cared for survived several months — which is nothing compared to the lifespan of a great white in the wild.

The ferocious creatures just don’t belong in captivity. One of the theories as to why has to do with their diet. In the wild, the sharks have to be near-starving to eat anything but live prey. Because feeding a shark live prey would be both expensive and a PR nightmare, it hasn’t been done. It’s also worth noting that the sharks that did eat in captivity rarely ate adequate amounts.

A second theory is that man-made cages are just too small for the predator. Because of its anatomy, a great white shark has to constantly swim forward so water can pass over its gills and oxygen can be obtained. Growing to 6 meters (20 feet) in length, a ridiculously large tank would be needed to accommodate the creature’s needs. Additionally, a great white shark named Nicole was once recorded traveling over 12,400 miles (20,000 kilometers) venturing from Africa to Australia and back again. This is evidence that the marine creatures have an incredible endurance and need vast amounts of space to thrive.

A third theory is that the artificial environment of a glass tank results in a great white shark becoming overwhelmed or confused due to its sharp electroreception. This sensory perception enables a shark to detect subtle moves and changes in the marine environment. In captivity where it is exposed to the public, a great white shark might become confused due to the huge amounts of stimuli.

Thanks to documentaries such as Blackfish, the population is becoming increasingly educated on the errors of keeping wildlife, such as orcas and sharks, in captivity. In the wild, animals may freely thrive. And that, one might argue, is where they belong.

105 Year Old Reveals The Secret Behind Living A Long Life

Thu, 2017-08-17 11:38

By Jess Murray Truth Theory

Everyone wants to know the secret to a long and happy life, without having to constantly worry about being cautious over every aspect of actually living it. Dr. Shigeaki Hinohara, who lived until he was 105, believed that the secret lies in a few simple and basic principles, one of which includes retiring later.

Dr Shigeaki Hinohara built the foundations of Japanese medicine and played a hand in making Japan the world leader in longevity. As a physician, chairman emeritus of St. Luke’s International University, and honorary president of St. Luke’s International Hospital, he was qualified in announcing his guidelines of living a long and healthy life.

In an interview with Japan Times journalist Judit Kawaguchi, he explained what he believed to be basic principles to living a long and healthy life. One of these included retiring much later than age 65. He explained in the interview that the retirement age in Japan was 65 at a time when the average life expectancy was just 68. This led him to believe that now that people are generally living much longer, with the life expectancy in Japan now being 84 years, people should be retiring at a much later age.

Before Hinohara died, just last month on July 18 in Tokyo, he continued to treat patients whilst working 18 hour days at the age of 105. Kawaguchi, who considered Hinohara her mentor, told the BBC, “He believed that life is all about contribution, so he had this incredible drive to help people, to wake up early in the morning and do something wonderful for other people. This is what was driving him and what kept him living. He always had today’s goals, tomorrow’s, and the next five years.”

Hinohara’s other key guidelines for living well included:

Worry less about eating well or getting more sleep, and have fun. “We all remember how as children, when we were having fun, we often forgot to eat or sleep. I believe that we can keep that attitude as adults, too. It’s best not to tire the body with too many rules such as lunchtime and bedtime.”

Don’t blindly follow what your doctor says. “When a doctor recommends you take a test or have some surgery, ask whether the doctor would suggest that his or her spouse or children go through such a procedure. Contrary to popular belief, doctors can’t cure everyone. So why cause unnecessary pain with surgery? I think music and animal therapy can help more than most doctors imagine.”

If you want to live long, don’t be overweight. “For breakfast I drink coffee, a glass of milk, and some orange juice with a tablespoon of olive oil in it. Olive oil is great for the arteries and keeps my skin healthy. Lunch is milk and a few cookies, or nothing when I am too busy to eat. I never get hungry because I focus on my work. Dinner is veggies, a bit of fish and rice, and, twice a week, 100 grams of lean meat.”

Always take the stairs and carry your own belongings. “I take two stairs at a time, to get my muscles moving.”

To conquer pain, have fun. “Pain is mysterious, and having fun is the best way to forget it. If a child has a toothache, and you start playing a game together, he or she immediately forgets the pain. Hospitals must cater to the basic need of patients: We all want to have fun. At St. Luke’s we have music and animal therapies, and art classes.”

NASA Just Found A Solar System With 7 Earth-Like Planets

Thu, 2017-08-17 11:34

By Jolene Creighton via Futurism

Astronomers just announced a breaking discovery that has a monumental impact on life beyond Earth: A planetary system with a number of Earth-sized planets that could host liquid water and, thus, life.

An Ocean of Worlds

Scientists working with telescopes at the European Southern Observatory and NASA announced a remarkable new discovery: An entire system of Earth-sized planets. If that’s not enough, the team asserts that the density measurements of the planets indicates that the six innermost are Earth-like rocky worlds.

And that’s just the beginning.

Three of the planets lie in the star’s habitable zone. If you aren’t familiar with the term, the habitable zone (also known as the “goldilocks zone”) is the region surrounding a star in which liquid water could theoretically exist. This means that all three of these alien worlds may have entire oceans of water, dramatically increasing the possibility of life.

The other planets are less likely to host oceans of water, but the team states that liquid water is still a possibility on each of these worlds. Summing the work, lead author Michaël Gillon notes that this solar system has the largest number of Earth-sized planets yet found and the largest number of worlds that could support liquid water:

“This is an amazing planetary system — not only because we have found so many planets, but because they are all surprisingly similar in size to the Earth!”

Co-author Amaury Triaud notes that the star in this system is an “ultracool dwarf,” and he clarifies what this means in relation to the planets: “The energy output from dwarf stars like TRAPPIST-1 is much weaker than that of our Sun. Planets would need to be in far closer orbits than we see in the Solar System if there is to be surface water. Fortunately, it seems that this kind of compact configuration is just what we see around TRAPPIST-1.”

Reaching Another World

The system is just 40 light-years away. On a cosmic scale, that’s right next door. Of course, practically speaking, it would still take us hundreds of millions of years to get there with today’s technology – but again, it is notable in that the find speaks volumes about the potential for life-as-we-know-it beyond Earth.

Moreover, the technology of tomorrow could get us to this system a lot faster.

These new discoveries ultimately mean that TRAPPIST-1 is of monumental importance for future study. The Hubble Space Telescope is already being used to search for atmospheres around the planets, and Emmanuël Jehin, a scientist who also worked on the research, asserts that future telescopes could allow us to truly see into the heart of this system.

As Jehin states, “With the upcoming generation of telescopes, such as ESO’s European Extremely Large Telescope and the NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb Space Telescope, we will soon be able to search for water and perhaps even evidence of life on these worlds.”

The Violence-Inducing Effects of Psychiatric Medication

Wed, 2017-08-16 14:21

By Kelly Brogan, MD via KellyBroganMD

On May 17, 2017, we learned that Chris Cornell of Soundgarden had reportedly committed suicide by hanging. His family reports knowing a different Chris than one who would make this fatal decision, and suspect his anti-anxiety prescription in the altered state he was witnessed to be in the night he died. Perhaps an “addict turned psychiatric patient”, like so many, Chris Cornell seemed to have left the frying pan of substance abuse for the fire of psychiatric medication risks.

For reasons that remain mysterious, those under the influence of psychiatric medication often specifically choose to hang themselves in their moment of peak impulsivity. Some, like Kim’s husband Woody who was never depressed a day in his life but prescribed Zoloft by his internist, even verbalize a felt experience of his head coming apart from his body in the days before he was found hanged in his garage.

Then there’s 14 year old Naika, a foster child in Florida who hanged herself on a FB livestream after being treated with 50mg of Vyvanse, a drug treatment for ADHD that leads to a domino effect of diagnoses and psychiatric meds including a 13 fold increase in likelihood of being prescribed an antipsychotic medication and 4 fold increase in antidepressant medications than controls.[1]

Are these just rare anecdotes? Is this just the cost of treatment that is helpful for most? Are we blaming medication for what might have been severe mental illness that was undertreated and/or undiagnosed?

Informed consent: the premise of ethical medicine

I believe first and foremost in informed consent. If you are informed of the risks, benefits, and alternatives to a given treatment, you will be empowered to make the best decision for yourself based on your personal, family, philosophical, and religious life context. But the truth is that prescribers are not in a position to share the known risks of medications because we learn only of their purported benefits with a short-tagline of dismissively rare risks that are thought to be invariably outweighed by the presenting clinical concern.

But what about serious risks – including impulsive suicide and homicide – surely we are informing patients of that possibility, right?

Wrong.

In fact, the FDA and the pharmaceutical industry have gone to great lengths to conceal multiple signals of harm so we certainly can’t expect your average prescriber to have done the investigative work required to get at the truth.

In fact, from 1999-2013, psychiatric medication prescriptions have increased by a whopping 117% concurrent with a 240% increase in death rates from these medications[2]. So let’s review some of the evidence that suggests that it may not be in your best interest or the best interest of those around you for you to travel the path of medication-based psychiatry. Because, after all, if we don’t screen for risk factors – if we don’t know who will become the next victim of psych-med-induced violence – then how can we justify a single prescription? Are we at a point in the history of medicine where random acts of personal and public violence are defensible risks of treatment for stress, anxiety, depression, inattention, psychosocial distress, irritable bowel syndrome, chronic fatigue, and even stress incontinence?

Let the science speak

Suicide

Prescribed specifically to “prevent” suicide, antidepressants now come with a black box warning label of suicide risk since 2010. Multi-billion dollar lawsuits like the settlement of Study 329[3] have been necessary to unlock the cabinet drawers of an industry that cares more about profit than human lives. A reanalysis of study 329[4] which initially served as a landmark study in 2001 supporting the prescription of antidepressants to children, has now demonstrated that these medications are ineffective in this population and play a causal role in suicidal behavior. Concealing and manipulating data that shows this signal of harm, including a doubling of risk of suicide with antidepressant treatment,[5] [6] [7] has generated seeming confusion around this incomprehensibly unacceptable risk profile. In fact, a reanalysis[8] of an influential US National Institute of Mental Health 2007 study, revealed a four-fold increase in suicide despite the fact that the initial publication[9] claimed no increased risk relative to placebo.

According to available data – 3 large meta-analyses – more psychiatric treatment means more suicide.[10] [11] [12] Well, that might seem a hazard of the field, right? Where blaming medications for suicide would be like saying that umbrellas cause the rain.

That’s why studies in non-suicidal subjects[13] and even healthy volunteers who went on to experience suicidality after taking antidepressants are so compelling[14].

Benzodiazepines (like what Cornell was taking) and hypnotics (sleep and anxiety medications) also have a documented potential to increase risk of completed and attempted suicide[15] and have been implicated in impulsive self-harm including self-inflicted stab wounds during changes to dosage[16]. We also find the documented possibility that suicidality could emerge in patients who are treated with this class of medications even when they are not suicidal with recent research stating, “benzodiazepine receptor agonist hypnotics can cause parasomnias, which in rare cases may lead to suicidal ideation or suicidal behavior in persons who were not known to be suicidal”[17]. And, of course, these medications themselves provide the means and the method with a known lethal poisoning profile[18].

Homicide

Clearly murderers are mentally ill, right? What if I told you that the science supports the concern that we are medicating innocent civilians into states of murderous impulsivity?

When Andrew Thibault began to research the safety of a stimulant drug recommended to his son, he entered a rabbit hole he has yet to emerge from. After literally teaching himself code to decrypt the data on the FDA Adverse Event Reporting System website, he was able to cull 2000 pediatric fatalities from psychotropic medications, and 700 homicides. A Freedom of Information Act and a lawsuit later, he continues to struggle with redacted and suppressed information around 24 homicides directly connected to the use of psychotropics including the homicide by a 10 year old treated with Vyvanse of an infant. Another case, ultimately recovered, involved statements from a 35 year old perpetrator/patient, who murdered her own daughter, as directly implicating as “When I took nortriptyline, I immediately wanted to kill myself. I’d never had thoughts like that before”.

To begin to scientifically explore the risk of violence induced by psychotropic medication, a study sample needs to be representative, the reason for taking the drug needs to be taken into consideration, the effect needs to be controlled for, as do any other intoxicants. Professor Jari Tiihonen’s research group analysed the use of prescription drugs of 959 persons convicted of a homicide in Finland and found that pre-crime prescription of benzodiazepines and opiates resulted in the highest risk (223% increase) of committing homicide[19].

Relatedly, eleven antidepressants, six sedative/hypnotics and three drugs for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder represented the bulk of 31 medications associated with violence reported to the FDA[20]. Now an international problem, a Swedish registry study identified a statistically significant increase in violence in males and females under 25 years old prescribed antidepressants[21].

Implicated in school shootings, stabbings, and even the Germanwings flight crash, prescribing of psychotropics prior to these incidences has been catalogued on https://ssristories.org/ leading me to suspect psychiatric prescribing as the most likely cause in any and all reports of unusually violent behavior in the public sphere.

Is Association Really Causation?

Beyond the cases where violence to self or others was induced in a non-violent, non-depressed, non-psychotic individual, what other evidence is there that speaks to how this could possibly be happening?

The most seminal paper in this regard, in my opinion, was published in 2011 by Lucire and Crotty[22]. Ten cases of extreme violence were committed by patients who were prescribed antidepressants – not for major mental illness or even for depression – but for psychosocial distress (ie work stress, dog died, divorce). What these authors identified was that these ten subjects had variants to liver enzymes responsible for drug metabolism exacerbated by co-administration of other drugs and substances including herbs. All returned to their baseline personalities when the antidepressant was discontinued.

Now referred to as akathisia-induced impulsivity[23], the genetic risk factors for this Russian Roulette of violence are not screened for prior to psychotropic prescribing. Akathisia is a state of severe restlessness associated with thoughts of suicide and homicide. Many patients describe it as a feeling-less state of apathy – and what I would describe as a disconnection from their own souls, their own experience of human connection, and any measure of self-reflection.

The genetic underpinnings of this kind of medication-induced vulnerability are just beginning to be explored[24] with identification of precursor symptoms to violence including severe agitation. In a randomized, placebo-controlled trial, healthy volunteers exhibited an almost 2 fold increased risk of symptoms that can lead to violence[25]. A 4-5 fold increased risk was noted in patients prescribed a generic version of the antidepressant Cymbalta, off-label, for stress urinary incontinence (a non-psychiatric indication)[26].

There is another way

Perhaps it’s as if we are offering the blade edge of a knife to those falling off the cliff of struggle and suffering. Because the idea of managing a chemical imbalance with chemicals seems to make sense. But at what cost? The laundry list of acute and chronic adverse effects is growing, and the unpredictable risk of medication-induced violence should lead to an urgent cessation of all psychotropics. Because it takes 17 years[27] for physician practice to reflect published science, we need grassroots level information sharing. We need to inform ourselves before we consent to engage a system that regards you as an impersonal statistic.

We live in a cultural context that makes no room for the relevance, meaning, and significance of symptoms – symptoms are simply bad and scary and they must be managed. We don’t make room for patients to ask why they are not ok.

If you knew that your symptoms were reversible, healable, transformable, you might consider walking that path instead of assuming this level of risk for placebo-level efficacy of psychotropic medication. We would only euthanize a “mental patient” if we felt their condition was lifelong and unremitting. In fact, every woman I have ever tapered off of psychiatric drugs into experiences of total vitality once believed that she would be a medicated psychiatric patient for life. If you knew that radical self-healing potential lies within each and every one of us, if you only knew that was possible, you might start that journey today. It’s side effect free…

American Company Build Cannabis-Inspired Town

Wed, 2017-08-16 14:15

By Jess Murray Truth Theory

The use of cannabis is increasingly becoming more widely accepted across the USA, and as more states legalise it, more creative venues to use it are also emerging. Whilst cannabis churches, resorts, yoga and restaurants already exist, soon there will be an entire town inspired by cannabis.

According to recent reports, a cannabis company based in Arizona, known as American Green, have just purchased a small town in San Bernardino County where they will begin their plans to convert it into an entire cannabis inspired town. American Green currently have a cultivation facility in Arizona, and sell various hemp-based products online, together with a cannabis app.

They recently spent five million dollars to obtain the town of Nipton, and plan to spend a further $2.5 million to create their full cannabis town over the next 18 months. The company’s consultant and project manager for Nipton, Stephen Shearin, said, “We thought that showing that there was a viable means of having a cannabis-friendly municipality and further making it energy independent could be a way of really inspiring folks to say, ‘Why can’t we do that here?’

Bloomberg has also reported, “American Green plans to include a new facility to manufacture water infused with CBD, the cannabis component that is typically associated with reducing pain and inflammation. The new Nipton will also have a production site for edible marijuana products, retail stores, and artist-in-residence programs.”

American Green’s main goal is to make cannabis both approachable and acceptable to a wider audience, through manufacturing products with smaller doses. They also have further plans to create CBD-infused water pools. Shearin told Marijuana Business Daily that they plan to “open cannabis-themed bed and breakfasts, host culinary events, start artists-in-residence programs and more.”

Their aim is to complete have their new project up and running by mid-October, although they have not yet obtained the necessary state and local licenses that are required to cultivate and sell cannabis on the property. Shearin added, “We want to revitalize the region, not the town, and we want to do it in a way that other towns can say, ‘Look at that, they have this regulatory system that allows them to embrace cannabis while not offending people who may not be of that mindset.’”

Here’s How Mountains Could Supply The World With Renewable Energy (With Video)

With a growing shift towards renewable energy, cheap and effective methods of storing energy and smoothing out fluctuations are needed. Research suggests that mountains can be used to store pressurised air and thus provide us with an alternative energy source.

The Shift To Renewable Energy

In January this year, Swiss voters also backed the government’s plan to provide billions of dollars in subsidies for renewable energy, ban new nuclear plants and help bail out struggling utilities. In June 2017, China ran an entire region on 100% renewable energy for 7 days. The province had a population of 5.8 million and showed that the electricity grid could cope without fossil fuels. In addition, China has decreased their coal usage by 5% year on year and has taken over United States in renewable energy. Furthermore, by 2027, India has said that 60% of its energy source will be provided outside of fossil fuels. In Europe, France also stopped granting licenses for oil and gas exploration as part of a transition towards environmentally friendly energy.

There appears to be a global shift towards renewable energy. We are slowly but surely turning our attention to environmentally friendly methods. This video suggests that mountains may provide a cost-effective solution to renewable energy sources. The markets suitable for this technology are Europe, USA and especially India and China.

Is Sleep Paralysis A Spiritual State Or Neurological Condition?

Wed, 2017-08-16 14:06

By Fattima Mahdi Truth Theory

Sleep Paralysis is a phenomenon that is widely reported in the general population. It occurs just before or after a period of REM sleep. Becoming mentally aware, whilst the body is still paralysed and ‘asleep’ can be a terrifying experience. People soon realise that they can’t move or speak. Frequently, these episodes are accompanied by diverse and vivid hallucinations, as well as sensations of breathlessness. There has been a lot of research conducted on Sleep Paralysis. On the one hand, scientists have provided a backlog of research to suggest that it is a neurological condition. However, for those who have experienced this weird state first hand, it goes without saying that there is more to this phenomenon that science isn’t able to explain.

Neurological

There is scientific research to suggest that Sleep Paralysis is a neurological disorder. For example, it has been linked to neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s. Scientists believe that understanding the chemicals involved in Sleep Paralysis can help them also understand the role this state has on individual functioning. Researchers have found that two brain chemicals, glycine and GABA, are responsible for muscle paralysis during REM sleep. There is also research to suggest that around 80% of people who suffer from Sleep Paralysis go on to develop neurodegenerative diseases. However, it is important to note that there is more to what goes on in our bodies than can be fully explained by dry, clinical theories regarding the transport and transformation of different chemical combinations and energy exchanges.

Spiritual

Sleep paralysis–related hallucinations can sometimes cause eerie sensations of floating outside one’s body or looking down upon oneself from the bedroom ceiling. In certain cultures, such out-of-body experiences are attributed to the “soul”— as if in a type of “astral travel,” the spiritual self projects itself into an alternative realm of existence. Essentially, Sleep Paralysis is merely the stepping-stone where you can take off into astral projection. It is resistance that causes the feelings of anxiety, fear and hallucinations. People experience these negative responses when they don’t let go and give in to the hyper-conscious state. When we astral project we are still connected to our physical body through a silver or golden cord of light connected to our pituitary gland/pineal gland.

Sleep Paralysis may have received widespread attention in science, but it still proves to be a condition difficult to explain. Although we know more about the chemical processes involved in this state, science is still unable to explain the out of body experiences, spiritual awakenings and other spiritual states involved in a Sleep Paralysis episode.

Mysterious Book From 1893 Show Eerie Resemblance To The Current Political Situation In The US

Wed, 2017-08-16 14:03

BLuke Miller Truth Theory

Is this precognition or just plain coincidence? Meet the 19th century author who wrote a story about a boy named Baron Trump (the name of Donald Trumps son), who traveled to Russia aided by a man named Don. With his follow up novel being titled ‘The Last President’

The 1893 science fiction book is called Baron Trump’s Marvellous Underground Journey, and was written by Ingersoll Lockwood.

Barron with the extra “r” is of course the name of Donald and Melania Trump’s son. And though the names vary a little there are similarities in the story, in which the young Barron is aided by a man Named Don.

Taken from an article from an article from the Australian Huffington post  in Baron Trump’s Marvellous Underground Journey, Baron is a wealthy young man living in a place called Castle Trump, but his real adventures begin when Don, the “Master of all Masters,” inspires him to travel to Russia, where he finds a portal that allows him to travel to other lands.

This has sparked many theories from time travel to occult magick, however, it does not end there. The follow up book from Lockwood was called “The Last President” From the Huffpost- the story

…does not feature the Baron Trump character but has some interesting parallels to modern times. It begins in New York City, which is up in arms over the election of an outsider candidate. The news causes those “in the upper portions” of the city to sit “as if paralyzed with a nameless dread… Mobs of vast size are organizing under the lead of anarchists and socialists, and threaten to plunder and despoil the houses of the rich who have wronged and oppressed them for so many years,” an early passage of the book reads.

I will leave it up to your imagination to make up your mind about this, however, I will say while this sound like a joke article it is 100% true and not a prank: you can read both stories here; Baron Trump’s marvellous Underground Journey and The Last President Please share this article.

28+ Humorous Comics Reveal What It’s Like To Be A Woman

Wed, 2017-08-16 13:59

By Amanda Froelich Truth Theory

To meet society’s difficult-to-attain (if not downright impossible) standards of beauty, many women and men spend thousands of dollars on expensive surgeries and treatments. Then, on social media, they highlight only the best parts of their lives in an attempt to appear “perfect.”

An artist who goes by the name Planet Prudence on Instagram does the exact opposite. In fact, the way she illustrates her life is incredibly refreshing. Rather than pretend to be something she’s not, the activist uses what some might consider to be her “imperfections” as fodder for humorous content.

She writes, “The following illustrations summarize my whole life as a woman, living in a world full of things I’ll presumably never understand. I’m always relieved to learn that I’m not the only awkward human being on Earth. Let’s laugh at our everyday struggles and be awkward together! Don’t forget to comment about your own experiences as a woman!”

The comics have been well-received — especially on Instagram, where Planet Prudence has gathered over 338,000 followers. May we all be reminded that there is no such thing as “perfection,” and that truly living is embracing one’s flaws and having fun.

These 15+ Satirical Illustrations Expose Everything Wrong With Society

By Amanda Froelich Truth Theory

From poverty to greed to persistent wars, there’s much on this planet that is need of remedy. Unfortunately, little will change until the majority of humans recognize present-day actions are unsustainable and collaborate to produce positive change.

Until that reality dawns, illustrator Al Margen will continue to wake up the masses through thought-provoking — albeit critical — art. Margen, who lives in Buenos Aires, Argentina, spends much of his time creating incredible drawings which pinpoint the flaws of our time. As Bored Panda reports, his illustrations are oftentimes louder than words — which is why they are so popular.

Margen himself is very critical of his art, and talks about them in a very artistic manner. He says, “They are children of boredom, nonconformity or anger. <…> They are the representation of discarded ideas. They are the garbage of the subconscious. But they are more visceral and sincere than other drawings because they have no obligation to please. <…> Because they were born only by an impulse and nothing more. Because they were born to annoy because they show the imperfect.”

It can be difficult to pinpoint society’s flaws, as one usually becomes the focus of criticism in turn. However, Margen is dedicated to exposing the truth and for that, we applaud him.

My Experience Taking DMT And How It Helped Me Remove Parasites

Tue, 2017-08-15 11:11

BLuke Miller Truth Theory

“This time I got 4 deep inhalations and quickly entered the deepest psychedelic place you can imagine.  It was after about 30 seconds I realised I needed to be in the bathroom for this experience.”

I have just returned from Peru after being there for 3 months, it has been beautiful, challenging, detoxing of my body, while also making me sick in some instances. I have had many experiences I have spoken about including- Climbing mountains on Watchuma, Getting stuck in an infinite time loop on ayahuasca, going for 50 days without sex or masturbation and 45 days of having cold bucket showers in the jungle. It is hard to cover everything in a single article and I am sure more things will come in the following weeks, months and years- but in this article I wanted to cover some things I am yet to speak about.

DMT is dimethyltryptamine a chemical compound found in the human brain, many plants and animals. It is also the psychoactive compound found in ayahuasca. DMT as a stand alone substance is usually smoked, however with Ayahuasca it is combined with chacruna (a leaf which contains DMT) as part of its recipe.

Due to acids in the stomach chacruna cannot usually be digested while maintaining the psychedelic effects of DMT, however the ayahuasca vine ( Banisteriopsis caapi) contains a monoamine oxidase inhibitor which allows the full effects to be felt over an extended period of ranging from 6-8 hours.

The type of DMT I recently took was one of the types you smoke, and its effects usually lasts from 5-20 minutes, instead of the 6-8 hours that is common for ayahuasca. The type of DMT I smoked was called changa, I forget the name of the type I smoked before, but it was an orange waxy substance. This was the first time for changa and it varies in ingredients, but is a blend DMT, herbs and tobacco, and this batch was incredible potent.

I am going to try and do the impossible and explain a DMT trip, and also one of the really mystical and a little graphic experiences I went through involving parasites.

Those who have smoked DMT will attest to the fact  it is unique in that which it offers, unlike most other psychedelic experiences DMT is rarely something that can be transferred into the confines of verbal language, in my experience there are no words or process of rational thoughts, but an explosion of geometrics and feelings, that vary from trip to trip.

It has its own consciousness, and my feeling is this consciousness is just as interested in us as we are in it- meaning it also feels through us, not just us through it. This is just my understanding, but it feels like a lifeform, that has a different way of communicating, being and understanding. It could be called an advanced lifeform and has by many, however I just see it as different and it is able to realise itself in a different way through us.

Over 2 days I smoked 6 times. Smoking is done through a round glass pipe, that holds the smoke between tokes. The first time I smoked I hit it twice and it was a very strong experience in comparison to other substances, however mild for DMT. Truth be told, I was having a problem with my lighter and I kind of failed to get the full inhalations.

With DMT you can miss the boat if you are not careful, meaning you need the right technique to get the full feeling. I had no geometrics, just a warm feeling of silence that took me away from the active mind and connected me with a different way of being. It was over pretty quickly and after I knew the substance was very strong, although I had not come anywhere close to the depths of experience it had for me.

The thing about DMT is it can shock you and to get the most out of it you should take a long hit, hold it in for 30ish seconds, then repeat for 3-4 tokes, sometimes by the end of the first to second toke you are tripping, so is good to have someone with you to help you and also take the pipe before you enter the depths of dimethnaltriptaworld. Toke 3 is the difference between tripping and sitting with the gods. Toke 4 is smashing through the barriers of anything you could ever imagine.

My second trip was a lot more intense, I got in 3 big tokes and transcended this reality- the experience had an orange glow and I spent the (10ish minutes) trip with my eyes closed. I was both fully in my body and slightly outside of my body simultaneously. The existence of gravity disappeared, as did up, down, left, right, north, south, east and west. I could feel myself as a strong glowing orange ball, with a strong elemental feeling of fire. There is a sensation with DMT that you are both central to the universe, while also having no separation with the universe. You are everything and nothing, and the universe is being expressed through you.

The experience was silent, meaning my mind was not thinking in words, however, there was communication taking place. The best metaphor I can think of is that of the Matrix, when Neo has his head plugged into the computer programme and after he knows how to do a full range of martial arts. It is like you are plugged into this language, it is not understandable as something that can be transcribed into spoken form, but you understand it and it understands you. If you choose not to bury this language with words you can also use it in the future to learn on a different level. Not only that- it helps you to understand language in its many forms- so understanding this will help you to understand spoken, written, body, psychic and the many other forms of language.

What I remember of this first experience was as I entered the peak of it- my body (as this bright orange ball) merged with a condensed geometric explosion of light. Another metaphor I could use is- I was the iPhone with lots of memory and storage and this geometric explosion was iTunes loaded with a bunch of amazing music, content and apps I was yet to see or hear. I am still playing around with what I have downloaded, but thus far I am liking it.

Then as quickly as it starts, it fades- in a way I can only describe as when you are in a beautiful dream and you awaken mid dream- then slowly the dream starts to fade. You know the dream was beautiful, but only when you are fully in the dream can you comprehend the magnitude of its experience.

In a way I think it is great that you can only enter this state for this amount of time, as it is a little too nice, you could live there forever, and never want to leave because of its purity.

Just to clarify, this is my experience- many people face hell during a DMT trip, and while I have during other psychedelic experiences, DMT has always been beautiful. A little breath-taking and intense, but always beautiful.

The 3rd trip I took, was very different- it was more blue in its glow, a very light greyish blue. It had a lot more of a physical affect on me too. I entered the mystical dream world of DMT similar (but still very different) to the one I mentioned above, but when I came out I became very physical in nature- there was whistling, chanting in a language which I would say sounded Arabic and serpent like movement of my arms and body. I also had some shaking of my head, a bit like that of a bird when they flap their wings and shake their head. It felt a bit like a long beautiful stretch in the morning- it was like I was shaking off energy that no longer serves me.

The 4th Trip is the last I will share as it was the most physically beneficial l believe, and gave me direct instructions for how to heal something I have been battling with lately. In Iquitos a few months back I picked us some very obvious parasites, which got me looking into the subject of parasites. To my understanding many (most) of us carry parasites and they can vary from the subtle, to the life threatening. They often cause underlying health issues, fatigue and general disbalance. A  parasite lives off of your lifestyle, energy and diet, and can be hard to detect and get rid of once you have them. Anyway, I got rid of the very obvious parasites pretty easily, however, after feeling them during mystical experiences and having this confirmed by a healer I realised I have another parasite.

I have been trying to get rid of this little guy for a while and when I smoked this 4th time, something different happened. My intention for this trip was to learn and share what I learned from the DMT. I had my laptop open and an Egyptian book full of hieroglyphs in case I wanted to look at them, open on the table.

This time I got 4 deep inhalations and quickly entered the deepest place you can imagine.  It was after about 30 seconds I realised I needed to be in the bathroom for this experience. So I went up stairs, with my eyes open- this exposed the holographic nature of the landscape. I got to the bathroom- vomited a little, but I could see the vomit as a fully living life form, it had an aura and things moving within it, I am still unsure if this was parasites or just general life that exists within bodily fluids.

I was sweating a lot and I will not share to many details about the rest of the journey, but the purge came out of the other end and removed this parasite- while this was happening I got a knowing of herbs, supplements and procedures I will need to do to protect my body from the parasite returning. I will speak about that when I do the procedure.

It sounds graphic I am sure, but it was also beautiful. For around a week following this , my stomach was a little sensitive and I could not eat any bread (I tried and it made me sick), but now my stomach feels healed and my head a lot more clear.

This is just a few psychedelic experiences I have experienced and I have had many more. Experiences vary from person to person, and substance to substance. I would say you should only enter these worlds with your eyes fully open and be sure you have laid the foundations to be able to process these experiences.

I am currently working with a centre to put together a special retreat in December, you can connect with me here if you are interested in this or want a recommendation for other dates.

Artist Captures The Sweet Reality Of Living Alone In 15+ Honest Illustrations

Tue, 2017-08-15 11:08

By Amanda Froelich Truth Theory

Rarely do you hear about the positive merits of living alone. This is because society glorifies the notion of finding a partner, settling down and building a family. While doing so in the past was essential as it was oftentimes a means of survival (improving one’s socioeconomic status and increasing the number of farmhands available), it is no longer an essential life goal for many people — at least in their younger years

Nowadays, many people are waiting until their late 20s, 30s and, sometimes, their 40s to settle down. This is because technological advances have made it increasingly easy to invest in one’s career and travel in one’s spare time. As a result, those who choose the unconventional route tend to become very comfortable living alone — and that’s where the magic happens. This is exactly what a LA-based painter, illustrator and occasional animator Yaoyao Ma Van As seeks to highlight.

As Bored Panda shares, her illustrations do a brilliant job summarizing how awesome it can be to live alone. From being able to leave your marks everywhere to cleaning up only when you want — there’s a level of freedom experienced when one lives alone.

Congress’ Longest Serving WWII Vet Vows To Fight Nazis Again After Virginia Protest

Tue, 2017-08-15 10:48

By Amanda Froelich Truth Theory

It may be the year 2017, but there are factions of humans that still believe some races are superior to others. In fact, it is this attitude which resulted in a violent protest in Charlottesville, Virginia, over the weekend.

To decry the removal of a Confederate statue, members of the KKK, neo-Nazis and white supremacists descended on the town, quickly spurring a counter protest. The condition of Charlottesville was in such disarray, the state governor quickly declared a “state of emergency.” One woman was killed during the rally, and at minimum of 30 people were injured.

Disgusted that the country he fought for during WWII is experiencing a resurgence of white supremacy, Congress’ longest-serving veteran Former Rep. John Dingell, 91, took to Twitter to send a clear message. As Huffington Post reports, Dingell tweeted that he enlisted once to fight Nazis, and he’d do so again if necessary.

I signed up to fight Nazis 73 years ago and I’ll do it again if I have to.

Hatred, bigotry, & fascism should have no place in this country.

— John Dingell (@JohnDingell) August 12, 2017

Dingell told NPR that he enlisted at age 18, back in 1944. Though he did not see combat and cited the atomic bomb as the reason, Dingell said the he would have been part of the ground attack on Japan had the bomb not been dropped. The former congressman served as a politician from 1955 to 2014, and was one of the last WWII veterans to leave office.

Even though the United States is incredibly divided at present, let us hope no opportunity is presented in which Dingell feels he must keep his promise.

‘Before & After’ Pics Of Teen’s Hair Reveals Just How Crippling Depression Can Be

Mon, 2017-08-14 14:07

By Amanda Froelich Truth Theory

For those who struggle with depression, day-to-day tasks — such as brushing one’s hair or going outside — often seem like impossibilities. It takes great strength to get up in the morning, put on a happy face, and go to a job or school. An anonymous 16-year-old girl knows this too well.

Recently, the young woman chose to get her hair done in an attempt to battle depression. Fortunately, her hairstylist was not only compassionate, she went above-and-beyond to transform the teen’s tangled locks into a stylish cut.

According to hairdresser Kayley Olsson, the 16-year-old girl who asked for help rarely felt good enough to brush her own hair. As a result, it looked like this:

Olsson shared the unnamed girl’s story on Facebook (with permission), and wrote that the girl confessed she rarely left her bed other than to visit the bathroom. With school pictures coming up, the teen decided she needed to do something, so she mustered up large amounts of courage and walked into the hair salon.

Overwhelmed by the condition of her hair, the teen asked Kayley to just “chop it all off.” The hairstylist did one better. She worked magic on the girl’s hair until it was totally flaunt-worthy. She then posted “before and after” pictures to Facebook in an effort to raise awareness about the crippling weight of depression.

Olsson wrote:

“Today I had one of the hardest experiences with my client who I am keeping anonymous, I had a 16 year girl come in with who has been dealing with severe depression for a few years now. She got to the point where she felt so down and so worthless she couldn’t even brush her hair, she told me she only got up to use the restroom. She starts back at school in a few weeks but she has her school pictures today. When she walked in she told us just cut it all off I can’t deal with the pain of combing it out, she called herself worthless for it. It honestly broke my heart and we tried everything we could to keep this child’s hair for her! At the end of the day I want this to be a lesson to people. MENTAL HEALTH is a thing, it effects people all around the world and of all ages! PARENTS take it serious don’t just push your kids off and tell them to get over something they legitimately can’t. A CHILD should NEVER feel so worthless to not even want to brush their hair. After being here 8 hours yesterday and 5 hours today we finally made this beautiful girl smile and feel like she IS worth something! Her last words to me was”I will actually smile for my schools pictures today, you made me feel like me again” ❤️❤️

As Ian MacLaren said, “Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle.” Hopefully, this teen’s radical transformation will encourage people to formulate compassion for those who struggle with mental illnesses.

One Of The Most Beautiful Story Based Songs You Will Ever Hear

BLuke Miller Truth Theory

This song has love, jealousy, death and beauty. A mix of tragedy and triumph poetically weaved into a beautiful story that captures the hearts and attention of the audience listening.

Music has the ability to change the state of a person in an instant and from the first chord on the guitar, this song delivers that experience. But it continues to grow in momentum with the most beautiful and tragic story, which unfolds poetically- leading the listener through a rollercoaster of emotions. Elena Tonra -Blue and Grey
